  29. For round-trip tickets covering different seasons, the departure date’s seasonal price will apply.

REFUSAL AND LIMITATION OF TRANSPORTATION

The Seller may refuse to transport the passenger and/or the passenger's baggage for security reasons or at its discretion in the following or similar cases:

  • If the passenger's behavior, age, or mental or physical condition,
  • Requires special assistance from the Seller,
  • Causes discomfort or objections from other passengers or poses any risk or danger to other persons or property,
  • If the passenger’s failure to comply with the Seller’s instructions makes such refusal necessary,
  • If the passenger refuses security screening,
  • If passengers arrive at the boarding terminal under the influence of intoxicating substances and/or drugs in a manner that affects the safety and comfort of other passengers and the voyage.

Passengers whose transportation is refused will not be refunded their ticket price by the Seller, nor will any compensation be paid under any circumstances.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED AS BAGGAGE

  1. The transportation of firearms and ammunition, except those used for hunting and sporting purposes, is prohibited as baggage. Firearms and ammunition for hunting and sporting purposes may be accepted as registered baggage to the extent they comply with carrier regulations. Firearms must be unloaded, with their safety engaged, and appropriately packaged.

  2. The Seller may refuse to transport any item as baggage due to its size, shape, weight, or nature.

  3. If baggage is not placed in suitcases, bags, or other suitable containers in a manner that ensures safe transportation with normal care, the Seller may refuse to transport it.

  4. Unless otherwise agreed, the passenger is not required to pay any fee other than the transportation fee for baggage that can be carried onboard by hand at once under the transportation contract. During the voyage, the passenger may only keep one suitcase or handbag with them. Any additional baggage will be recorded by the ship’s personnel and stored securely. The passenger may not carry fragile or perishable items, money, jewelry, precious metals, silverware, securities, or other valuable commercial papers, passports, or other identification documents or samples inside registered baggage. The Carrier shall not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from the presence of such items inside the baggage. The passenger cannot claim compensation from the Carrier for lost baggage. In accordance with international regulations, TILOS reserves the right to "Refuse Transportation" for items not accepted as baggage. The customer’s compensation claims related to the refusal of transportation are invalid.

  5. Upon arrival at the destination port, passengers may collect their baggage only after all baggage has been unloaded from the ship onto the dock.

  6. Prohibited substances such as drugs are strictly not transported. If their transportation is detected, full responsibility lies with the Carrier.

TRANSPORTATION OF ANIMALS

1 – Animals such as dogs (excluding dangerous breeds such as American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Doberman, Rottweiler) and cats, which have a valid vaccination and health certificate, entry permits, and other documents required by Greece, may be accepted for transportation, provided that prior agreement is reached with the seller.

2 – The acceptance of animal transportation is subject to the passenger assuming full responsibility for the animal. The seller shall not be liable for the death, illness, delay, loss, or injury of the animal due to its entry into or transit through Greece being denied, nor for any financial or moral expenses and damages that may arise from these circumstances.

BEHAVIOR ON BOARD

The passenger is required to comply with all orders of the captain regarding order on the ship. If the passenger behaves in a manner that endangers the ship, any person, or property, obstructs the crew from performing their duties, fails to comply with the crew’s instructions, or causes reasonable objections from other passengers, TILOS and the crew may take any necessary measures to prevent such behavior, including restraining the passenger if needed.

For any reason, in accordance with international regulations, the captain of the ship reserves the right to "Refuse Transportation" of the passenger, vehicle, and cargo. The passenger acknowledges in advance that they may be denied boarding based on the decision of the ship's crew and that no compensation claims against TILOS or the ship’s crew regarding such refusal shall be valid.
